Templates

Templates are the foundation of every report. They define the structure, headings, and static content - and contain AI blocks where the AI writes client-specific content during generation.

Creating a template

Click New template to open a blank editor. Use the rich text toolbar to add headings, lists, tables, and formatted text. Type your static content (clinic details, standard disclaimers, section headers) directly.

Importing from Word

Click Import from Word and select a .docx file from your computer. The document content is extracted and loaded into the editor, preserving headings, lists, and tables. Edit the imported content, add AI blocks where needed, then save.

Community templates

Click Browse community to see templates shared by other Scrippio users. Find one you like and click Copy - it's added to your library as your own template that you can customise freely.

AI blocks

AI blocks are the core of Scrippio. In the template editor, type / and select AI Block from the menu. Each block has:

  • Title - a label for the section (e.g. "Background Information")
  • Prompt - instructions telling the AI what to write (e.g. "Write a summary of the client's medical history and referral reason based on the attached notes")

The more specific your prompt, the better the output. Include details like tone, structure, and what information to prioritise.

Tip: Place AI blocks between your static sections. For example, keep your clinic letterhead and client details as static text, then use AI blocks for the clinical reasoning sections.

Auto-saving

Templates save automatically as you type. A small badge in the top-right shows "Saving..." or "Saved" so you never lose work.
