Setting You Up for Success

Security & Data

How your data and your clients' information is stored, processed, and protected in Scrippio.

Important: This guide explains how Scrippio handles data technically. It is not legal or compliance advice. Check your professional body's requirements and your organisation's privacy policy for obligations that apply to your practice.

What data is stored

Scrippio stores the information you enter — client profiles, session notes, voice note transcripts, uploaded documents, templates, and generated reports. This data is tied to your account and is not shared with other users or organisations.

  • Client profiles — the name, details, and any notes or documents you add.
  • Generated reports — saved to the client profile automatically after generation so you can re-open or re-export them at any time.
  • Voice note transcripts — audio is processed to produce a text transcript, which is stored. The audio file itself is not retained after transcription.
  • Uploaded documents — stored securely and accessible only from your account.

How data is sent to the AI

When you generate a report, the context you attach — session notes, documents, voice transcripts — is sent to the AI model to produce the draft. This means client information leaves Scrippio temporarily to be processed by the AI provider.

  • Data is sent only for the purpose of generating the report you requested — it is not used to train AI models.
  • Only the context you explicitly attach is sent. Unattached notes and documents stay in Scrippio and are not included.

Best practices for handling client data

  • Only attach what's relevant — don't attach documents that aren't needed for the section being generated. Less context shared means less data processed.
  • Use a secure device and network — avoid accessing Scrippio on shared devices or public Wi-Fi without a VPN.
  • Keep your account credentials secure — use a strong, unique password and do not share login access with others.

Exporting your data

You can download a full export of your account data at any time from Settings → Data. The export is a JSON file containing all your clients, templates, reports, notes, documents, rules, and sources.

Deleting your account

If you close your account, all data associated with it — clients, templates, reports, notes, documents, rules, and sources — is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. You can initiate account deletion from Settings → Data.

Tip: Export your data before deleting your account if you need to retain a copy of your reports or templates.
