Sources & Rules

Configure reference documents and standing instructions to shape how the AI generates your reports.

Sources

Sources are reference documents the AI can draw from during generation - clinical guidelines, assessment manuals, organisational policies, or any document you want the AI to reference.

  • Upload a .docx or .pdf file, or add a URL - text is extracted automatically.
  • Add a title and description so you can find it easily later.
  • Edit the extracted content to trim irrelevant sections.
  • Sources can be Personal (only you) or Organisation (shared with your team, admin only).

During report generation, check the sources relevant to that specific report in the context panel. Sources are unchecked by default - you choose which ones apply.

Rules

Rules are standing instructions the AI follows every time it generates content. Use them for consistent preferences across all reports.

Examples of useful rules:

  • "Always use Ms/Mr with client surname, never first name alone"
  • "Use conservative language when describing functional limitations"
  • "Include NDIS plan number in the header of every report"
  • "Write in Australian English spelling"
  • "Always recommend a review period of 6 months unless otherwise stated"

Organisation rules are always applied to every report and cannot be toggled off. Personal rules are on by default but can be toggled off for individual reports.

Tip: Start with 2-3 rules that reflect your most common feedback on AI drafts. Add more as you notice patterns you want to correct.
